Jorge Jimenez

Jorge Jimenez joins Global Fintech Forum from the Federal Reserve System, where he was the Product Development Director of FedGlobal®. Throughout his career - 15 years of which have been in payment systems - Jimenez changed conventional wisdom on international payments by helping financial institutions provide low-cost ACH remittance, often termed "The International Wire", and developing new payment infrastructures in several countries. He received a Master in Business Administration in 2001 from a joint program between the London School of Economics and Bocconi University of Milan. That same year, Jorge Jimenez joined the operational arm of the Italian Central Bank, SIA Group, where he was first Project Director for the new European Clearing House in support of the newly introduced Euro (STEP2) and later in charge of developing the national payment infrastructure for Central Banks in Latin America and Africa. Jimenez has worked with foreign governments and Central Banks in over 50 countries. He is also currently advising the Office of Technical Assistance of the U.S. Treasury on foreign policy as it relates to Payment Systems, and Financial Inclusion.
